Maria Glenski leads the Foundational Data Science group in the National Security Directorate's AI and Data Analytics division at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Winner of the Women in AI North America’s 2023 AI in Government, AI Disruptor of the Year award, her visionary work has disrupted conventional paradigms, driving innovation, efficiency, and positive change. Her research areas focus on methods to characterize, explain, and model complex behavior of humans, AI, and human-AI collaborative systems to address national security challenges. Examples include:

• disinformation spread and engagement in diverse online social environments,
• social response to COVID-19 non-pharmaceutical interventions,
• trusted and responsible AI evaluation,
• scalable AI (LLMs, foundation models) for science and security.
